Border Crossing - What's New in DUI Defense in Washington

The Washington State Supreme Court has ruled that a driver who crosses the border into a neighboring state can still be prosecuted for DUI in Washington.

While the case at hand, State v. a Rivera-Santos, had a driver eluding / being chased by police while driving into Oregon, it certainly leaves the door open for how much pursuit, if any, would be required for both states to prosecute if there was evidence of driving in both states (e.g., a photo of the person's vehicle crossing the bridge.
